I am in shock. Suspension''s of all students involved would not be enough. There are human right violations occurring in North Dakota right now, against Natives and water protectors of all decent. This should be considered an act of racism to insight violence. All sudents have access to information (teachers & libraries) and chose to make this banner and display it at an organized school function. Their coach should be released of duties and charged with hate crime. It is a criminal offence to insight or provoke violence based on racial bias. The Trail of tears is the story of racial injustice, intollerance and suffering.

Your high school students (cheerleaders) created a provocative message about the indigenous of this country, more specifically--the trail of tears comment! Please, consider teaching your students about empathy and what emotions are! Have them apologize the indigenous by confronting them at the frontline where the protest is happening; the indigenous deserve it. Should they need funds, create one on a crowdfunding website; i'm certain the world would love to see this act of kindness and for it to bring inner peace to those students.

You all wanna complain Boutique this school being racist , well here try this one on for size, I am a parent of 4 children that attend Greenfield school 2 in high school, 1 in middle school and one in elemtary school , screw the racist thing I myself have Cherokee bloodline they are kids so get over it racism is pretty much every where now days, but that is not my point, this school district seems to really not care about parent concerns or their student at all they just do not care what so ever they do not care about any situation that families may have they do not do a thing about a 15byear old girl telling a 12 year old girl to get it over with and to kill herself this girl has been reported several times and not one thing has been done about it. Even called the bus garage and asked for her to be moved away from the other girl instead the bus garage sat her with this other girl. They accept kids from other schools that have been in trouble at the other school they are not even supposed to be in the school district they give Saturday school if a child misses so many assignments they do not care if the child is a young girl whose family does not have transportation..apparently they expect them to walk over 15 miles from their home to the school to have the child There by 755 in the morning seriously ,they are careless inconsiderate and do not teach the children well there're is a teacher that runs the in school restriction class and she constantly put the children down and degrades them in front of other students making the one they are doing to feel completely embarrassed and insulted. They are mean to some and nice to others if the family is a poor household then the children are treated badly they do nothing to help the children or their families what so ever in my opinion this school is really terrible If we could afford to move and out my children in a different school district I would in a heartbeat because Greenfield exempted schools is a very uncaring inconsiderate school

This school is an example of why children are racist! They allowed the cheerleaders to use a Native American tragedy for a football game!! Where were the teachers?! The cheer coach?! To tell these young people no. That isn't right thway Trail of Tears was a horrible tragedy to the Native indigenous people of America. This school's faculty staff and the board need to be reprimanded. I am Navajo from the Great Navajo Nation. I was beyond disgusted by this school lack of education and training.

So unfair for people to cast stones on a school who does it's best to teach and educate their students to be good citizens. For people to see one report of an obvious error in good judgement... then attack without being part of this community or school system is just plan wrong. Everyone will admit that yes it was a sign that should not have been allowed... yes there was a mistake made in supervision of the sign by an adult... but to pass judgment on the school as a whole is plain wrong! Where were you when these same students raised personal funds to help with the funerals of students in rival schools who lost their lives in accidents? No! Those stories never got reported! At some point in time we have ALL made mistakes of lack of good judgment... but I'm so thankful that the majority of mine have not been slammed by people who are ready to pounce on social media! The teachers, faculty and students are upset enough than to have those not even in this community harass on social media! How does that make you any better? As a parent and member of this community... lift up your heads McClain... learn from your mistakes and go on... you are forgiven! ITS CALLED GRACE!
